Hi there, I’m Debra Bloom!

I’m passionate about making the road easier for you.

I’ve been a food allergy mom for over 19 years. I’m the founder of FoodAllergyParenting.com, creator of The Safe Snack Guide, and co-founder of SnackSafely.com.

I know the fear, heartbreak and overwhelm of raising a child with food allergies. Though I’ve made plenty of parenting mistakes, I’m really proud of how I navigated being a food allergy mom throughout my daughter’s childhood. I developed systems to make things as seamless as possible so that she would be safe and feel included at school, after school activities, parties, family & friend gatherings, playdates and camp. She has always gone to restaurants, traveled nationally and internationally, lives at college and has a healthy dating life.

When my daughter was one, she was diagnosed with food allergies after having an allergic reaction. I had no education on food allergies or understanding of how it would affect my daughter’s life or my own. Reflecting back on her childhood, I wish I had guidance going through new experiences. I wish I had a food allergy mom friend. I can’t go back to help my past self, but I can be there for you on your journey while raising your child with food allergies.

The structures I developed over the years helped keep my daughter safe and included and I taught her to do the same. Now, I want to share it all with you! (Follow the 3 steps above to get started!)
